Intersectional Feminism as a term, was first coined by American professor Kimberle Crenshaw in the year 1989. It is the study of overlapping or intersecting social identities and related systems of oppression, domination, or discrimination. It means that women experience oppression in varying configurations and varying degrees of intensity

Intersectional feminists do not identify as feminists at all. They do not argue as conservatives do, seeking to malign and censor those who identify as feminists while seeking to limit the rights of those who do not

Quite the opposite is true. Intersectional feminists fight to make the community of feminists betterAs a community, feminism suffers when men and women both fight for equality. As a community, feminism suffers when liberals and radicals alike fail to recognize the need to compromise and find a common ground

It is precisely this kind of harmony that is so desperately needed right now.
